Sure Hand’s 16+ understands that for some young people leaving care does not automatically mean they are immediately ready to manage all the expectations of living an independent life. We provide high quality semi-independent accommodation which is a perfect environment to help young people learn the skills needed to run their own home. We assist our young people with basic cooking skills, home management, employment and financial planning we believe these to be some of the core skills which help to produce independent care leavers. This is achieved by having effective 1-2-1 sessions and really taking our time to get to know the individual needs of each of our young person. Our well-trained staff pride in the ability to provide safe and comfortable accommodations for care leavers, homeless teenagers and unaccompanied asylum seekers while drawing from their years of experience and training to provide crucial life skills they will need when adapting to independent living.
